Coatsville Park

Named in honor of Tillamook history–“Coatsville” was the name of the naval housing unit around the park.  Lumber for the housing area was donated by the Coats Lumber Company–giving the Coats family a unique legacy within the City of Tillamook. This park, located two blocks west of Liberty Elementary School, is a popular play site for neighborhood families. Updated in 2014 with funding proivded by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department and Tillamook Urban Renewal Agency, it is easily accessible and visible from Ninth Street. Park amenities now include:

  • Playground equipment
  • Tennis and basketball courts
  • A grassy field for soccer or other ball games
  • Picnic area
  • A walking path around the entire park
  • Fitness equipment
  • Public restrooms and drinking fountain
