City of Tillamook Invitation to Bid
Sealed Bids for the CITY OF TILLAMOOK 5th St. Infrastructure project will be received by Paul Wyntergreen, City Manager, for the owner, City of Tillamook, at 210 Laurel Ave., Tillamook, Oregon 97141 by 2:00 p.m. March 1, 2018, at which time and place they will be opened. NO ELECTRONIC FACSIMILE submittals will be accepted. NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME.
In general terms, the scope of the work between Stillwell Ave and Main Ave includes the design, build and replacement of:
o Public Works selected sewer line laterals (approx .. 8′ deep) from the sewer main to edge of right-of-way in a manner that is water tight and meets industry standard for connecting to a clay mainline that is lined with cured-in-place sleeve. Public Works will be camera-identifying those laterals that need such repair. The maximum number of laterals would be nine, so we are requesting unit price bids for those.
o Dig out and repair sections of street that are in need of such repairs and finish with a complete overlay of the street when the project is done,
o Demo and install of new sidewalks, approaches, and ramps that meet ADA requirements on 5th street between Stillwell Ave and Main Ave.
A traffic plan that meets all Federal, State MUTCD and Local standards and requirements will be required.
Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the contract documents. Specific Details & Estimated Quantities are attached as Exhibit A.
Each bidder must investigate and be fully informed of the conditions relating to the construction project and the employment of labor; failure to do so will not relieve the successful bidder of the obligation to furnish all material and labor necessary to carry out the scope of work. The failure or omission of any bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve the bidder from any obligation in respect to the bidder’s bid. The contractor shall employ means and methods that will not cause interruption of work and also not cut off access to business and resident’s properties.
The work performed under this contract shall be completed by July 27′”, 2018.
All Federal, State and City laws, rules and ordinances shall be followed in regards to labor, material, means and methods associated with the scope of this work. This is a prevailing wage contract.
