The City is currently working on several waterline and sewer line construction projects.
EVERGREEN DRIVE AREA:
Sewer line construction is working in the Evergreen Drive area east of the downtown area. For the week of February 15, 2016 the construction to upgrade the lines will be on Williams Avenue. This part of the project will continue into the week of February 22 and then construction will return to Evergreen Drive for the remainder of the month and into the first part of March.
Waterline construction is currently on Laurel Avenue between 1st Street and 3rd Street. The construction will continue on Laurel Avenue for the week of February 15th. Construction will move from there to 1st Street between Pacific Avenue and Madrona Avenue. While the construction is ongoing on 1st Street the left hand lane will be closed to traffic and parking. For the part of the week of February 22nd and the week of February 29th the construction will move to 1st Street between Main Avenue and Ivy Avenue.
Waterline construction on 4th Street from Miller Avenue to Pacific Avenue has been completed. Water testing will begin the week of February 22nd. The water will be turned off intermittently for as short of periods of time as possible. We hope for the shutoffs to be 10 to 15 minutes at a time. We apologize for the inconvenience to the residents of this area while we test the new lines.
City workers and construction workers appreciate the patience of everyone as we upgrade the infrastructure of the City.
